Dutch A2 courses

Step up your Dutch with Koentact’s A2 courses! These courses are designed for students who already know a bit of Dutch and want to use it more confidently in everyday situations. Our friendly teachers make classes lively, interactive, and fun.

You will practice speaking, asking questions, and joining conversations about your life, plans, and interests. No matter your learning style, there’s a course that fits you perfectly.

Level up your Dutch (A2 level)

At A2 level, you build on the basics and start using Dutch more confidently. You will practice understanding and speaking in everyday situations and learn to keep conversations going. Step by step, you gain more independence in real-life Dutch.

For example, you will be able to talk about your hobbies, daily routine, or plans, ask for and give directions, and join simple conversations with others. These skills help you feel more confident when using Dutch outside the classroom.

At Koentact, you develop these skills through Dutch Experience 3 and Dutch Experience 4. Together, these courses give you the tools and confidence to speak Dutch naturally in everyday situations.

Dutch Experience 3 & 4

At Koentact, we offer two course levels for CEFR A2 so that you can continue learning Dutch gradually and with confidence. A2 is the elementary level, where you start using Dutch in everyday situations with more independence. At this stage, you can talk about your hobbies, daily life, past experiences, and plans for the future.

Dutch Experience 3 (A2.1) covers the first half of A2.

  • This course is perfect if you already know some Dutch and want to improve your speaking and understanding.
  • You will practice simple conversations about your job, home, hobbies, and daily routines.
  • You will also learn to ask for and give directions, make small talk, and tell short stories about your past.

Dutch Experience 4 (A2.2) covers the second half of A2.

  • This course builds on what you learned in Experience 3. You will expand your vocabulary and practice longer conversations.
  • You will learn to talk about sports, plans, travel, and future events.
  • You will also practice practical situations like going to the cinema, making phone calls, or writing a short postcard.

Together, these courses help you develop the skills and confidence to use Dutch more naturally in everyday life.

FAQ

Dutch A2

How long does it take to reach level A2, B1, or B2?

That depends mainly on the group size. For groups of 5 or more students, we recommend about 24 hours of lessons to move up one level (for example, from A1.1 to A1.2). Smaller groups or private lessons often progress faster.

  • A0 to A2: Completing Dutch Experience 1 to 4 (A1.1 to A2.2) typically requires around 96 hours of instruction.
  • A2 to B1: Advancing through Dutch Challenge 1 to 3 (B1.1 to B1.3) generally takes about 72 hours.

You can also attend our free review classes (for levels Dutch Experience 1 through 4, A0-A2). These online review classes are held twice per course session.

Our courses use three books, each offering additional online material for you to practice with:
