Private Dutch Course

Are you looking for fast results, but are not able to commit to our weekly Dutch Evening Group Classes? Opt for a one-on-one private Dutch course with an experienced Koentact teacher!

Location:
A Koentact teacher can come to your home or your office, or you can come to Koentact’s office (an additional fee applies), or meet at any other location you like. No travel fee if the class takes place within city limits. Classes can also be taught online.

Time/ day:
You can select the day(s) and time that suits you best. We are very flexible.

Duration/ frequency:
We recommend at least one 2-hour class per week. If you want to move/improve faster, having a class twice per week for 1.5 hours is our recommendation.

Teacher:
We will make sure to select a teacher that matches your request. After the first class, you can let us know if you are happy with our choice.

Participants:
You will be the only participant. However, it is also possible to team up with your partner, friend, colleague, or any other person who wants to learn Dutch the fun way!

Content:
You select the content of the class. Do you wish to reach the next level? Or do you mainly want to focus on speaking? Anything is possible! See here for a description of our levels.

Extras:
Private lessons include free participation in all of Koentact’s school group activities, such as review classes, preparation for the inburgeringsexamen, and Field Trips. Lessons can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. See below for more details.

Why take private Dutch classes at Koentact? 

1. One-on-one or small groups

Our private Dutch lessons in Amsterdam are taught one-on-one, and can take place at your home, your office, or at our school in the city center of Amsterdam. Sessions are available for 1 or 2 people, or for small groups. Your program will be tailored to your specific needs and interests. Our private Dutch lessons grant you the full attention of one of our experienced Koentact language teachers. Individual guidance and a practical course program will guarantee results!

2. Reach a new level or improve one specific skill

In our experience, a 30-hour course will ensure that you reach a new Dutch language proficiency level, but smaller or larger packages are also available. You only want to improve your writing, listening, reading or speaking? We also offer custom private courses in which you focus on one specific skill.

3. Free intake

Not sure about your proficiency level or what package you should take? To grant you insight into our method, as well as answer any questions you may have, we offer a free intake interview. During this intake, you meet with us face to face and discuss exactly what it is you want to learn. Contact us today for a free intake interview. 4. Free extra training

Private lessons include free participation in all of Koentact’s school group activities. Would you like to ask questions about what you’ve learned so far? Then the review classes are the place to go! Twice per month, you can join this class for free to make sure you can catch up if you happen to miss a class, or if you have some trouble with grammar or speaking exercises.

Are you taking the Civic Integration Exam? From Dutch Experience 3 (A2-) onwards you can join our free civic integration workshops. We offer three 2 hours workshops on Fridays. The workshops are consecutive, so taking all three will give you enough information to prepare yourself for het inburgeringsexamen. Please ask your teacher for the exact schedule.

5. Field Trips and Saturday Workshops

At Koentact, we are known for our Field Trip lessons, during which our group course students discover Amsterdam by meeting local and international people while being fully immersed in the Dutch language and culture. These Field Trips are included in the private course fee.

In addition, once every six weeks, you can put down your books and get inspired by the passion and knowledge of our teachers during our Saturday workshops! You can join two 1.5-hour workshops for free. See here for a short blogpost on these workshops.
