You have signed up for your Dutch course and completed the payment. So, what’s next? On this page, you’ll find more information about all there is to know about our Dutch courses.
When do I receive the class details?
You will receive an email from us via info@koentact.nl in the week before the start of your course. In this email, we’ll share the class dates and times and the dates of our additional activities like the civic integration workshops, Field Trips and review classes.
When do I know who will be my teacher?
On the working day before the start of your course, we’ll share the name and contact details of your teacher and the exact class location, including your classroom. For our online courses, your teacher will share the Zoom link with you by email.
We send this the day before so we can include last-minute changes following the level assessments of new students and enrollments.
The book is not included in the course price, as it’s designed to be used in multiple courses making it a long-term resource for your learning journey!
Op de fiets: The easiest and fastest way for most: biking to class. Public transport: You can navigate to your class location by using 9292.nl for example. By car: You can park at the Q-park Europarking garage, located on Marnixstraat 250.
How do I get to my online classes?
The online class take place through Zoom. Please follow these steps to get ready:
In addition to our in-person courses, Koentact also offers Field Trips!
At Koentact, we are convinced that the best way to learn Dutch is by understanding its practicalrelevance. This means applying what you learned in the classroom during fun Saturday Field Trips!
For our in-person courses, new students will receive a Koentact folder and pen. Students in level Dutch Experience 1, 2, 3, and 4 will also receive handouts of course slides. For higher levels, the slides will be shared online. You’ll receive lined paper to make notes, which you can add to your folder.
Besides the class materials, you can bring a reusable bottle for water, coffee, or tea.
I will miss a class! What can I do?
If you happen to miss a class, you can let your teacher know about this. Your teacher will be able to share the class material with you, so you can study by yourself.
You can also join our free online review classes (A0-A2), which are held twice per session, to ask questions if something’s still unclear. These sessions are held via Zoom and take place on Friday evenings.
Will I receive a certificate?
At Koentact you receive a certificate after finishing your course. This will mention the name of the course and the level you’ve reached.
For example: after completing Dutch Experience 1 your level of Dutch is A1- according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The certificate will testify that you have completed the Dutch course (at an attendance of at least 80% of the program) and have successfully passed the final test.
Did you know?
Koentact founded the Amsterdam Language Café (ALC). The ALC has several events throughout the year that you can join! You can find their latest events on Meetup. You can also follow them on Instagram.
